Another hidden gem here in Grand Junction that a co-worker told me about is Devil's Canyon. This is really close to the Colorado Monument and similar to the Lunch Loop trail I talked about where there are tons of trails to go on! Ironically my friend Jess from work pulled into the parking lot right behind us and she came with another traveling nurse she met out one night! We all hiked together for awhile and then went our own ways. This hike was much calmer than the day prior at Garfield, but we could feel the soreness that is for sure! We ended up hiking a rim trail at the canyon that was absolutely beautiful! Only bad part was the trail is also accessible to horses, so we had to dodge what my dad calls "Road apples".
I had to go to work that night and the following 2 nights. On Sunday we went back to hike Opal Hill. This is also at Devils Canyon, but we didn't have the chance to hike it! Easy short hike, but it lead us to lots of other trails that were beautiful.
