Eagle Beach, Local Eats, & Sailboats - Aruba

Our last day with everyone in Aruba, we wanted to fit in as much as we could! There were a few places on our list that we hadn't been to, so we planned it for that day. Our first stop was Eagle Beach which is known as being one of the best beaches! That morning we packed up our coolers and hopped in a taxi. Once we arrived, Anthony and Jina gave us the champagne to pop!

We were able to rent a little umbrella and chairs at the beach. Truthfully, the beach near our airbnb, Palm Beach area, was just as nice. Here at Eagle Beach the waves were much more aggressive!

A few of us hopped into the water while Anthony and Chris played in the sand.

We found this cool coral/shell thing in the water. In Aruba you cannot take anything organic from the island. No coconuts and especially sea shells! So we took some pictures and gave it back to the ocean.

Mimosas, braiding hair, and lots of laughs was the perfect way to spend the morning on One Happy Island.

After this we all, literally all of us, loaded into a taxi. There are laws in Aruba that you are not to have more than 5 people in your taxi. If the driver gets pulled over he could loose his job due to having too many people. I am not sure what this guy was thinking, but 12 of us loaded into an 8 person van. To Zeerovers we go!

Zeerovers was a recommendation from everyone. Taxi drivers, people at the airport, and even our airbnb host recommended going here. It is a local place serving the Catch of the Day, whatever that may be.

At the back of the restaurant where you sit, you can see them bringing in fish!

This is located right on the water making it a gorgeous setting.

Once our food arrived, we all were amazed at how much food we got and how fresh!

After eating, we enjoyed the dock and views of the water... along with the crabs crawling around.

That evening, we booked a Sunset Cruise with Pelican Adventures. This booking you can do just the cruise, or you can do the cruise along with the dinner. We booked the cruise and dinner because by the time the cruise was over, we figured it would just make it easier to have dinner figured out! We could've walked here, but since we were a little late, we took a taxi.

There was plenty of room on the boat and as usual, we took over an entire section.

Unfortunately, again, we did not have everyone so we still did not get a group photo of the entire group! Throughout the trip, everyone started to get sick from a cold or some type of virus. Aaron and I went to Aruba sick along with a few others. Progressively throughout the week, other people got it too. So here's most of the group! Maybe I'll photo shop my dad into this one...

After the sun went down, the boat continued for about another hour. I didn't realize how long this tour was, but we still enjoyed it.

The food at the restaurant after was delicious too! They also had vegan options for Anthony and Jina.

After this we went to the best store in Aruba, Aruba Aloe!

That night we thought about going out to dance. So a few of us got dressed up. Ironically, it was just us Elmira College Alumni who were ready to spend the night dancing. We ended up just taking pictures dressed up and staying in!

We had all these high hopes of going out, but between people not feeling well and already having such a busy day, relaxing with our friends and family was perfect.
