Ohiopyle, PA

For Brads Birthday in May we headed to Ohiopyle, PA. I had never heard of this place, but Brad had told us about it when we first started in West Virginia back in August. I had it saved on my phone. Once we realized we all had the time off and there was an Airbnb available we booked it and were ready to go! We were so excited to take a trip to celebrate!

Our Airbnb was located about 10 minutes from Ohiopyle, but it was perfectly placed next to a creek! Link here: https://air.tl/MdlFMRda

Grogu was enjoying the new place too!

That evening we cooked up steaks while hanging out at the fire.

Once we were done with our food, we headed into the hot tub!

The next morning we headed to Ohiopyle to get breakfast/lunch and start exploring. We started with eating at Ohiopyle House Cafe. Then we went to Ohiopyle Coffee Company.

After that, we walked down to the Great Allegheny Passage Bridge.

Then we checked out Ohiopyle State Park. We stopped for a quick photo break for Grogu.

Here, you can walk to the Ohiopyle Falls Observation Deck and look over the falls.

After this we went to Stewarton Falls. This is located off the beaten path and was fun for Brad in his F-250. We drove all the way down this road to the dead end and could not find this waterfall! While we were driving back to Ohiopyle, we pulled over where the GPS was saying the waterfall was located. Finally, we found a very small trail and were able to find the falls! Beware of mud though. I think we all took a little stumble!

Aaron found a little critter of course.

When we got back to the truck, we let Grogu roam around a little after his nap.

Then we went to Cucumber Falls.

These were beautiful! You could walk under the falls and take photos too. There were a lot of people here so be prepared! The walk down to the falls is very easy.

Our last stop for sightseeing was the Natural Waterslides.

After this we were ready for a drink, so we went to Falls City Pub & Restaurant.

Then we headed back to our Airbnb.

That night we made tacos, had a bonfire, and hung out in the hot tub. That was our last night there, so the next morning we packed up our stuff and headed out for breakfast. I cannot remember who recommended Maywood Grill, but I had it saved on my phone as a great place for breakfast and cinnamon rolls!

It was a great recommendation because the cinnamon rolls were amazing as was the breakfast!

It was a rainy day, but it was starting to clear up. We decided to pack up the animals and rent bikes at the Wilderness Voyageurs Bike Shop.

We biked for about an hour on the Great Allegheny Passage. We went over the Ohiopyle High Bridge and the Great Allegheny Passage Bridge! There were tons of mini waterfalls along the way.

After this we all headed back to West Virginia. It was such a perfect get away to celebrate Brad's birthday! Ohiopyle is a perfect place for just a couple days of exploring for anyone!
