Venice Beach and Ringling Museum

Aaron and I have heard lots of people rave about a restaurant Sharky's On The Pier in Venice Beach. We decided to go check it out! There are tons of places to park, which sounds crazy to say, but a lot of the beaches have horrible parking.

We made a reservation, of course we wanted to sit outside! The wait was over an hour so we walked along the pier and were amazed by all the sea life we were able to see. We could see dolphins and someone caught a shark!

Finally we were able to eat, and we could watch the sunset at the same time.

The next day we went to The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art. John Ringling owned "The Greatest Show on Earth", a circus show from the 1900's. He and his wife Mable, bought property in Sarasota and built a home worth $1.5 million and later on built a museum of art to keep all of their art that was collected in their travels on display. When they both passed, it eventually became a place people could visit. Every Monday the Museum of Art, including special exhibition galleries are free to the public. Regular admission is also available, but Aaron and I decided to check it out on a Monday for free!

The grounds were absolutely beautiful along with the architecture of the buildings. The art museum had a very different sense of taste compared to ours, but we enjoyed walking around. Following our visit, we went to Lido Beach and had lunch at Columbia Restaurant which was recommended to me from one of my coworkers. We would highly recommend the 1905 salad! It's delicious!
