Aaron had a few things he needed to get done in Havasu and our condo was between tenants, so we made a quick little trip! Meredith has never been to Havasu and the weather was perfect, as usual, and it made for a great get away.
We drove in after a 12 hour shift and got to our lovely little condo. Living close to Los Angeles, traffic is so busy and being in Havasu was such a breath of fresh air. We loved how quiet it was too. In the morning, Meredith and I headed out for a walk along the lake.
Afterwards, Meredith, Aaron, and I headed to the Red Onion for brunch!
Then we hit up the pool. When we bought our condo, it was during the hottest time of the year, so we were not able to enjoy the pool as much from it being 110 degrees or more every day. Relaxing next to the pool was definitely what we all needed!
After that, we headed to our balcony to enjoy the sunset.
Since it was Meredith's first time in Havasu, I had to pick what things I wanted to show her. We decided to hit up Mudshark Public House for some craft beer.
Then we went to Blue Chair for dinner where we met up with our friends Blake and Ruby.
The next day we walked to Makai Cafe which I had never been to, but always wanted to check out. I think we may have liked it more than Red Onion. Of course, you can't beat drinking mimosas on the lake.
Then we took a nice stroll back to the condo.
After that we hung out at the pool one last time before heading out. Going back to Havasu brought back so many memories and it made us realize how lucky we are to own property there. It being such a quick trip, we were not able to reconnect with all our friends, but I am sure we will be back again!!
I can now see why your mom cant stop talking about Lake Havasu! So pretty!
