Bozeman, MT

Everyone at work has been telling us about Bozeman which is only a little over an hour away. It is a beautiful city and recently it has changed a lot due to the influx of people moving there from California. They now call it, 'Boze-angeles". Well, we still had to check it out! A girl we worked with in Reno is from Bozeman and she gave us a few recommendations for while we were in town.

Aaron had a little surprise for me on our way there. A few people at work gave him the recommendation that we should get lunch at the Full Belli Deli in Townsend, MT which is on the way to Bozeman. So we stopped there and everything was great!

It was so fun getting surprised by Aaron since usually I am the one who plans everything. It was a perfect place to grab a bite to eat on our drive! One thing that Aaron and I really wanted to see in Bozeman was the Montana Grizzly Encounter. We were hoping to see a grizzly at a safe distance in the wild. Since that has not happened, this was our last resort! At the gate, we were great by their Frenchie!

Then we were able to see Bella come on out!

Then Max and a few goats.

And Maggi!

It was so cool to see them and learn about them. They have a lot of important information on what to do if they were to attack you and how to prevent bear attacks. After that we headed to our Airbnb to drop off our things before heading to MAP Brewing Company. The building is built out of logs, has vaulted ceilings, and sits right on a little lake.

The staff was really friendly and recommended a few other places for us to check out. Our next stop, per one of the guys working at MAP, was Mountains Walking Brewery.

The Brussel sprouts here were amazing as were the beers. We ended up buying a few of their beers to take home and some merch! We highly recommend MAP and Mountains Walking for beers. They were our two favorites by far for beers. After this we headed to Bozeman Brewing Company. This is a small little place with lots of beers to choose from!

After that we went to Bridger Brewing.

Unfortunately, they were closing, so we headed to Sidewinders American Grill for dinner. This was also a recommendation from one of the employees at MAP. Turned out, this along with a few other places in Bozeman, are veteran owned! Aaron and I had an awesome time here. The cocktails, food, and service were awesome. We definitely recommend going here!

Our last stop was Bozeman Taproom and Spirits. There were not many people there since it was a Sunday night, but we still enjoyed it. Aaron ordered the Fiesty Mule which has jalapeno infused tequila. Lets just say, this was so spicy that Aaron asked for a new drink! He was even drinking cream to help settle the burn in his mouth! So, just be careful if you decide to order that. Otherwise the PB&J cocktail is delicious. I cannot remember what I got, but I am sure you can't go wrong with any of their cocktails, besides the ones with jalapeno infused tequila!

After that we headed back to our Airbnb for the night. The next morning we headed to Main Street. My co-worker we met in Reno who is a travel nurse from Bozeman recommended JAM! for breakfast and Zocalo for chai lattes. So off we went!

JAM! was delicious. The food was super fresh and tasty. While we were walking to Zocalo we stopped at a few shops!

After that we headed back to Helena. Bozeman is a little over an hour away, but there is a lot to do there! We wanted to check out a few hikes, but due to the weather we did not. Instead we had an awesome time going to breweries, seeing the grizzlies, and of course, finding great places to eat and shop!
