Coopers Rock State Park

Since we are so close to Aaron's family, we planned a trip for his brother Chris and his wife and kids to come down. Two days after they arrived his parents came too! It was so nice to have everyone visiting. One day while they were here, we took a trip to Coopers Rock State Park. This is a little over 30 minutes from us and is a place we were saving for when they visited.

One of the trails, Raven Rock Trail, I figured would be a good hike for them since it didn't look too strenuous online. It is about 3 miles and rated as moderate on All Trails.

Roman and Emery loved all the rocks and we saw a snake!

Once we got to the end we could see the Cheat River. Roman took Groot the entire way!

After this we parked at the Coopers Rock Gift Shop where we walked the Underlook Trail. This is on All Trails and is rated as an easy 0.4 miles. It is paved and part of it is accessible by wheelchair. On the way out, we stopped at the Almost Heaven sign.

Then we went to the end of the trail where we could see the river again.

Once we were done, we looked around the Coopers Rock Gift Shop and bought a few local things. Then we drove to Draft Restaurant & Bar where Brad met up with us.

After this we headed to our new property to do some demo work. We did this again the next day as well.

We finished the day off with dinner at Muriales with Aaron's parents, his brother Brad, and Brad's girlfriend Lauren.

That night we headed back to our place and played with the snakes.

It was so fun having them here and showing them a little bit of West Virginia. We are so thankful they helped with demoing our new property. It was a lot of work, but it would have taken Aaron and I much longer without them. We can't wait to see many of them again in Aruba!
