Relax, Swim, Eat, and Fish - Aruba

After a long day on the ABC Jeep Tour, we all slept in and woke up hungry! We decided to walk down to Linda’s Dutch Pancakes for breakfast. It was about a mile walk from our Airbnb and I figured it would be good to get our legs moving.

They were able to seat all 12 of us without a problem. The food was fresh and delicious!

Our walk home was the perfect way to walk off all the food we ate.

Once we got home, we all changed into our suits and jumped in the pool. We even saw a few iguanas on our roof!

That evening we got dressed up for dinner at Papiamento.

Papiamento Restaurant started in 1983 by a mother and father who are still involved in running the business today. Originally we were looking to have dinner at Flying Fishbone, but the next reservation available for a large group was January 21st. So if you’re interested in that restaurant I suggest booking very early. Papiamento was a restaurant recommended by someone at the airport on our way to Aruba.

On a whim, I called them the day of and was able to make a reservation without a problem! I am so glad we were able to eat here. The food was still sizzling when it arrived and you could continue to cook your food if you wanted to.

The ambiance was beautiful as well.

Shockingly the price here was not as much as we thought it would be. We highly recommend this restaurant even though poor Aaron got pooped on by a bird…

A few of us saved room for gelato. So we took our taxis to the Marriot hotel, near our Airbnb, and visited Blakes’ good friend at the gelato stand!

Then we walked down to the ocean.

The next day we made breakfast for us all to share!

When we arrived to Aruba my dad and Blake brought up the idea to rent a charter. The prices were so cheap and it was the perfect size for all of them to go. So, the boys went out on the charter and us girls went to Baby Beach! Here are pictures from Baby Beach.

Here are pictures from the Charter.

My dad caught the biggest fish, a Wahoo! He was so excited!

That evening, Anthony (Aaron’s cousin) and his fiancé, Jina arrived. Since the men caught 40lb of fish meat, half of it went to us. Hadicurari cooked up the fish and we got to pick 2 sides for $20/person. What a deal! It was the perfect way to end the day with everyone.

The food was amazing and we had so much left over! After this, we went back and relaxed to prepare for our Pirate Ship Tour the next morning.
