The day after Daniel and Maddy's wedding, we headed up to Telluride. On the way there we stopped for breakfast in Dolores. Daniel and Maddy had another place in mind, but sadly it was closed. We drove past Loop's Coffee House and Bistro and it was exactly what we needed.
Then we continued our drive in Colorful Colorado!
When we got to Telluride, none of us were able to check into our hotels or airbnbs so we headed to Bridal Veil Falls for a hike.
I quickly realized that hiking isn't Maddy's preferred activity and immediately felt horrible, but she pushed through and we took some pretty cute pictures of the newly weds. The hike to Bridal Veil Falls isn't bad, but I was surprised when we got to the end and noticed there is a road up to the top. The benefit of hiking is you can see the 2 smaller waterfalls before Bridal Veil Falls.

Waterfall #2
And finally, Bridal Veil Falls
After hiking we went to our Airbnb to get ready for dinner. We booked this a few days before since I realized booking things last minute was a bad idea. On the way to dinner on the gondola, we noticed the airport! Can you imagine flying in or out of this airport?
Maddy wanted steak so I found a restaurant called Altezza at the Peaks. I didn't realize they only had one steak on the menu, but it turned out to be worth going there just for the views.
The food was delicious along with the drinks. For the views and being in Telluride, the price really wasn't that bad. We definitely will go back to this place and recommend it to anyone going there. We then took the ride back on the gondola which was kind of scary in the dark!
The next morning we were going to go for a hike, but Aaron really wanted to relax. I didn't blame him, we were busy from the moment we got off the plane. We relaxed in our alcove, drank coffee, talked, and watched the gondola.
We headed out for a walk along the San Miguel River.
We walked into downtown and met up with Daniel and Maddy for food at Steamies Burger Bar.
The four of us walked around all the shops which were very out of our budget, but they were fun to look at. We grabbed a few beers near the gondola too. Then we headed to Daniel and Maddy's place for dinner. Having a homemade meal after 4 days felt amazing.
The next day we drove to Montrose to fly back to Fairmont. This trip was so much fun! We had a fantastic time exploring, but most importantly we enjoyed seeing our friends get married. Can't wait to see them again!
