Virginia Beach

Aaron and I had a 4 day weekend so we thought, lets head to Virginia Beach for a little beach time. We ended up staying at the Clarion Inn & Suites which is right on the main road. I suggest staying in a hotel close to there because it makes walking to things easier!

We arrived in the evening on Saturday so we went to eat at Lager Heads which had tons of craft beers and great food. The wings were great, we did get crab dip but it came with bread which we thought was odd. You sit right next to the boardwalk so you're practically sitting with an ocean view.

After eating, we went for a nice walk along the boardwalk. I've been to Virginia Beach before and absolutely love the boardwalk. It is 3 miles long and is great for biking, walking, running and more!

There was a little concert going on and there were a few local food tents set up. When we were about done walking, we decided to grab some ice cream.

The next day we headed to the beach for some sun rays!

Once we started to get hungry, I had to take Aaron to my favorite place to eat in Virginia Beach... Abbey Road Pub & Restaurant. It is delicious! When I went here last time, it was for my friends parents wedding vow renewal and we all loved this place. Aaron ordered the Cajun Seafood Gumbo and I had the Lobster Mac & Cheese. Both of us were pleased with our meals. If you're a Beatles fan, all of the mixed drinks are named after their songs which I thought was pretty clever.

While sitting here we saw there was put-put next door so we went over there and played a game (we also had coupons from our hotel)! After this Aaron really wanted some Lobster Bisque so our search began. We ended up going into a Mexican restaurant that was advertising $5 margaritas... so we went there and then continued our search. We found that the popular soup here was She Crab Soup and Lobster Bisque is hard to find. Aaron ordered it at H Bar which is a restaurant under the Hilton Hotel. The soup did not have as much crab as we were expecting.

That evening we relaxed on the pier and listened to the waves. Since it was a Sunday, many people had left so it was peaceful.

The next day we went to Log Cabin Pancake House where we had their breakfast buffet. It was $11 a person and totally worth it! We went for one more walk on the board walk before heading back to Waynesboro.
