Lake George

For 3 days I had the pleasure of spending time in Lake George, NY. A co-worker and friend of mine, Liz, lives up there and invited me to come over for the night, which ended up becoming 3 days of fun!

Lake George is roughly 1 hour north of Albany, which really is amazing! I'd rather spend time on a lake near mountains than a tall building any day. We went swimming in the water for about 2 hours, which was very refreshing. Lake George is also one of the cleanest lakes in New York! Afterwards, a friend of Liz, Haley, joined us for some chips and dip and catching up. Later in the night we went to the Lake George Beach Club for dinner and drinks. We all split the macaroni and cheese and it was delicious. On Wednesdays they have Karaoke and as the night went on, we found ourselves up on stage singing!

The next day we slept in, but once we woke up we rushed to get ready and headed out to paddle board! The Kayak Shak is located about 30 minutes south of Lake George and is on Fish Creek which goes into Saratoga Lake. For $25 you can rent a paddle board or kayak for 3 hours, and you can alternate between them! Us 3 enjoyed the paddle boards the entire time and had a blast...and none of us fell off.

Afterwards we went to a restaurant called Dock Brown's on Saratoga Lake. It was beautiful out on their patio and there was live music.

On our way back to Lake George, I realized I needed some hiking gear and when we drove by Eddie Bauer and L.L. Bean, we had to stop! They ended up not having what I was looking for, but there were a ton of deals at Eddie Bauer that us 3 could not turn down. We all walked out

with matching flannels and cardigans. Then, we all surprised ourselves when we took a wrong turn on accident. This turned into getting ice cream at Martha's Dandee Creme which has a ton of soft serve flavors to choose from.

Haley had to head back home afterwards, but Liz and I headed back down to the Lake George Beach Club to watch fireworks on the lake and listen to live music.

Friday I had to go into work and work the weekend, but those 3 days during the week felt like the weekend to us!
