When we accepted our assignment in Havasu, Aaron's parents booked a trip out to visit in May. We were so excited and it came up so quickly as we had been in Disney World the week prior to them arriving! Originally they were going to rent a car, but since there is so much to see near Vegas we said we would go pick them up and explore.
Aaron had no idea, but his brother Brad was visiting as well! Brad had texted me awhile back asking if he could surprise Aaron and I said of course! Aaron was surprised, somehow he never connected the dots when I slipped a few times before they came. Once we all got in the truck, we headed to the Omelet House for breakfast.
Unfortunately, the entire time we were at breakfast, Aaron was nauseated. He went out to the truck and didn't eat anything. We ended up driving back to Havasu after this since he really did not feel well. This ended up lasting the next 3 days and we are convinced he got some type of food poisoning from the JIF recall... Thankfully, we have a great pool at our complex where we all spent the rest of the day.
The next day Aaron took his parents, Brad, and our roommate Kellen shooting out in the desert.
Everyone was hungry after that so we headed to Cha Bones for happy hour! Cha Bones has half-off all drinks and appetizers for happy hour. It's probably one of the best happy hours in Havasu.
Then we headed back to the pool to hangout...after stopping at Ross of course!
The next day was Saturday, but you'll have to wait for that post to come out as that calls for an entire post in itself!
