Dinner With Mickey - Disney World

After 3 long days in Disney World, a much needed pool day was in effect!

We were very happy to sleep in, get some sun, and relax! My mom was able to get reservations at Chef Mickey's where you get to have dinner with the characters! We did have to get back on the shuttle to Magic Kingdom and catch the Monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort. Ryan has been dying to get on the Monorail so it was no problem for him!

Once we were seated everything happened so quickly! They get the food passed out to you and the characters start coming around!

I'm sure we all can guess who Ryan's favorite characters were...

After this, we headed back to our hotel. There was a huge thunderstorm that night as we were leaving dinner. Aaron and I can't remember the last time we saw rain...

Sadly the next day we headed to the airport and said our goodbyes. Thankfully I knew I'd be seeing my mom and Ryan in about 2 months!

I wanted to make this a separate post because there were some things we definitely learned while in Disney:

  1. Bring water into the park. You can bring in as much food or drinks as you can carry as long as there isn't any alcohol in them. Otherwise, be prepared to pay $3.50 for bottled water. There are places to fill up.

  2. There is no smoking inside the parks... at all.

  3. Wear comfortable shoes. You'll be walking a ton.

  4. Pack blankets to sit on for the fireworks if you're planning to stay all night.

  5. Bring sunscreen!

  6. Epcot can be for children, or it could be all drinking. We learned that there is a challenge for people to have a drink in all the countries! Obviously these people didn't go on too crazy of rides!

  7. Be prepared to wait in lines. There are lines for everything.

  8. Be kind and mindful of the people around you. You can easily run into people, spill things on people, and if you're tired...probably everyone else around you is too. Don't make it worse.

  9. We decided our children will go through a Disney boot camp where they have to walk 2 miles and carry their own water daily for a week straight without complaining to be able to go to Disney.

  10. I'll never to to Disney without my brother.

Thank you Disney World for another magical experience!
