Goodbye Lake Havasu

After tackling COVID, it was time to enjoy the time we had left in Havasu! Thankfully the weather started to cool off to the lower 100's, making it a little more enjoyable outside at the pool and the lake.

Aaron and I finally checked out Papa Bear's Diner after driving by it so many times. It was our first outing after COVID and we were extremely satisfied with their pancakes and burgers. Kind of an odd mix, but after eating at home for 2 weeks, our cravings got the best of us. We have to say, their pancakes were awesome!!

We also headed down to the lake with our friends Greg and Wendy to check out the craziness of Memorial Day weekend! We could not believe all the boats going through the channel...and all the money people spend on them.

We went back to our condo after and cooked up some steaks followed by playing dice!

We said goodbye to our awesome friends Mikey, Ruby, and Blake. Blake and Ruby were back in town so we all headed out on Mikey's boat one last time.

Aaron and I also finally checked out Javelina Cantina, a restaurant located right next to the London Bridge and has views of the channel. We have said we would check it out so many times, so finally we did! On Tuesdays they have half off margaritas and we could not resist!

On our last night of work, we headed to Legendz one last time. We went there multiple times during our time there and always enjoyed it. They have always had hot dogs on the menu, so I decided to try one and it was pretty good!

We spent our last few days spending time with people we met during our 9 months in Havasu. Our friend Andi had knee surgery so we met her for breakfast one day at Juicy's. We spent an entire day at our co-worker Brandy's pool with a few of our other awesome co-workers. We met up with Greg, Wendy, and Cheryl for happy hour one evening as well. It was not easy saying goodbye to any of them...

Our last night Mikey met us at one of the new bars in town, Finney's. It is a block away from our new condo and we figured we better try it before we leave. All of their food is really good and the staff is very friendly.

After saying goodbye to Mikey, we went to bed and woke up the next morning to head off to our next assignment in Manteca and Modesto, CA. I cannot believe we spent 9 months in Lake Havasu and even bought a rental property there! I will definitely miss all of the people we met and our amazing views at our condo. We are so thankful for the experience we had there and for all the people who welcomed us like family. We look forward to seeing them all again!
