When Brad, Aaron's brother, planned his surprise trip, I told him we should all go to Rib Fest!
Rib Fest happens every year in Sparks and has lots of different vendors selling ribs, ZYN, clothes, drinks, and just about everything you can imagine at a festival or fair! This one just has a lot more ribs involved.
When we were planning to go, a co-worker told me to plan on taking an Uber since parking is horrible. So we went to the Depot Brewery and Distillery to grab a drink and order an Uber!
Once we got to the Rib Fest we were a little overwhelmed with where to go first. We ended up stopping at the first place, Brothers Barbecue, since they called us over and they ended up being a local rib stand.
Then we went to another place from Kentucky! I wanted to go there because they had mac n cheese, of course at a Rib Fest, the mac n cheese must be amazing!
Truth be told, the ribs and sauce from the Kentucky place were definitely better than the other place! After that we walked around and checked out a few of the vendors. We also stopped and bought drinks at a stand that had 13 beers out for the men and women we lost in Afghanistan. There were a lot of people at the festival and just before leaving we bought lots of left overs to take home!
We took the Uber back to the Depot and got a few drinks before heading home!
