Sailing Lake Tahoe

On the last day of my dad visiting, we booked a sailing cruise on Lake Tahoe. There are multiple boat cruises to choose from, but sailing seemed to be what we all were interested in. My dad had just gotten done with a week long sail with friends over in Connecticut and Aaron had never been on a sail boat, and I just love sailing! It ended up being a perfect option for us. We booked with Tahoe Sailing Charters located in Tahoe City, CA. There are different sailing times, but they fill up quickly. We settled with the 2:30 pm cruise since the sunset cruise was filled.

On the 50ft sail boat, you can expect water, wine, or beer to drink (included in your booking) and a great crew!

Thankfully the smoke cleared up a little bit for our day on the lake!

After sailing, we all were hungry. We headed over to Moe's Original BBQ which is right in the marina. The food was all really good, but a little over priced for the portion sizes.

After this, we went to The Good Wolf Brewing Company. Aaron and I met a traveling nurse Louis while we were in Woodland Hills, CA and he said he always stops here when he passes through this area. Since we were only 30 minutes from it, we decided to check it out for ourselves!

It is a small place, but has everything you need. We grabbed a few beers and played cards until we decided to head home.

The next day I had to bring my dad to the airport. It is always so sad when we leave each other since we usually do not know when we will see each other next. I am so thankful he was able to find the time to come out to Reno, NV and arrive safely. We can't wait for the Ice Man (my dad) to visit us again!
