Scottsdale & Phoenix, AZ

While we were in Montana, I developed a very close relationship with one of my patient's, Beth. She and I connected when we started talking about investing in properties and I told her all about Lake Havasu. She was beyond excited and looking at properties kept her busy while she was in the hospital. It's always fun to look at what's available!

After she was discharged and feeling better, she invited us over to her house for dinner with her, her husband Bob, and their 4 kids. Their house was so welcoming and they are such great people. We visited them again prior to leaving where we ended up staying the night because we learned if you have a 36 gallon tank parked on a hill and the front pointed downward, with less than a quarter tank of gas, it will not start... Thankfully, Beth and Bob opened their spare room for us and we enjoyed a great sunset and lovely breakfast in the morning!

Not long after this, she messaged me saying she bought tickets to visit Phoenix, AZ! Thankfully everything worked out that we had the time off work and were able to visit them for 2 nights. First we met up with them in Scottsdale for some coffee and tea at Berdenas.

Then we walked around and went to Farm and Craft Scottsdale for food.

The food was great and Beth's kinds enjoyed it as well. As we were walking around looking at the shops, we decided to checkout Pussy Cat Gelato. It was delicious!

Scottsdale had tons of cute shops to peruse even though the boys weren't as interested in them, it was still fun! We headed back to their Airbnb after grabbing groceries and snacks. It was a great time to catch up and have lots of laughs.

The next morning Beth made these amazing overnight oats that we still need to try out. We all filled our bellies and headed out to look for some type of poncho for Brenden. He was very determined to find one so we stopped at a store they saw prior to our arrival. They have such cute books here about the desert and cacti.

Then off to the Zoo we went. First stop, food.

The food at the zoo wasn't as expensive as you'd think and the food was good!

The highlight of the trip was going on a camel! Aaron didn't want to go, but since Brenden and I had our matching outfits we decided we would go together.

Beth said I'll make it in the calendar for next year! I can see it now, "Who is the girl with Brenden on the camel?".

"One of Beth's nurses while she was in the hospital." I've never developed such a close relationship with one of my patients! I am so happy I was able to care for her.

We walked around the entire zoo...I swear! I was shocked when they said it was closing. We were there for probably 4-5 hours and completely lost track of time. At the very end of the day, we all got a few pictures taken together.

We were all starving after walking around the zoo all day. Somehow, we came across Coconut's Fish Cafe and had an amazing meal. There was 8 of us everywhere we went so sometimes finding a place to eat can be difficult. We had no problem finding a place to sit outside on the patio.

After that we drove back to to the Airbnb where the kids and Bob swam in the pool while Beth and I watched them and talked. The next day we headed out to hike at Granite Mountain Hot Shot Memorial State Park. We had such an awesome time with Beth, Bob, and their 4 kids. It was so nice for us all to be together in a warm place and we can't wait to see them again!
